so back in june, mike and i decided to embark on the daunting task of registering. it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be, BUT it was an exhausting, soul-draining, wear-you-out task! we didn't disagree on things as much as i thought we would. i had to go into this telling myself...."ana, mike lives in the house too. he can pick out some (very few) things". hehehe!! needless to say, the things that i thought mike wouldn't care about, he did and vise versa. and i of course thought we needed to register for everything!! hehehe!!
our first stop was crate & barrel. *sigh* i love this store! they have the cutest things and they're not badly priced. we spent a mere 45 min here. i think that might be record time for registering! i think the reason we did so good was because we were in the "we're getting married and we're registering today" state that we didn't have time to disagree. our second stop, bed, bath, & beyond, is a different story. the wedding consultant there was sooo nice, but soooo pushy! she told us the "rule" of registering was that you register for 2 gifts per person invited. that way, they bring one to the shower and one to the wedding. what the hell is she thinking?!! 2 gifts per person?!! no way!! she also tried to convince us to register for things that we didn't want/need to register for! she even almost cut her finger off when she was showing us knives! sheeesh!! after 3 hrs of perrusing the aisles, we were ready to get the hell out of there! as she was finishing up the final things, she goes to print a copy of our registery and adds more things via the online store!!! arrrgghh!! i know she meant well, but it was kind of annoying. oh well.....
